User Generated ContentYou may create your UChat identification name (UChat ID) in your UChat Account and allow your friends to find you through your UChat ID. In addition, you may choose to set your profile information (eg. UChat ID, “display name”, profile picture, status message and etc). You are responsible to the profile information and user-generated content you share with others in your UChat Account which can be copied, stored, or disseminated by the recipients and potentially accessed by unintended third party recipients due to the nature of digital data. We encourage you to be very attentive and cautious when you generate and share your personal information or content with others.
Contact Phone Numbers in Your Address BookWe will access the phone numbers in your mobile device’s address book, and enable you to add friends in the App who have consented to being found via their phone number. Once you have added a friend in the App, you can call them or send them messages over the App. We will access only the phone number fields in your mobile device’s address book or contact names or any information from other data fields. If you would like to invite individual friends or contacts to connect with you using the UChat App, you may send them invitations directly via SMS or other messaging services from your mobile device using the address book in your mobile phone and other data fields.
Device DataWe may facilitate the sharing of media stored on your device while using UChat. We will access your media data (eg. camera and photos) to collect images and information from your device.
Contest Information and Customer SurveysIf you choose to participate in any contest events or surveys that UChat offers from time to time, we may request certain Personal Information from you (eg. Your full name, correspondence address, phone number, email address, date of birth and etc) in order to confirm your participation eligibility, enable you to fill out questionnaires, and to deliver any prizes you may win, and otherwise administer the event.
Pseudonymised and Aggregated DataWe pseudonymise and aggregate certain Personal Information to improve our Services. We may disclose generic, aggregated (pseudonymized) demographic information, not linked to any specific Data Subject, regarding users to our business partners, trusted affiliates, and suppliers or agents working on our behalf.
Payment InformationIf you choose to facilitate your purchases within UChat, we may engage a third party service provider to collect and process your credit, debit or other cards information used by you. We may collect your credit/debit card number, expiry date, CVC, cardholder name. We will use your credit card information to process your purchase within the App. Please note that we will not retain your credit card information beyond the period necessary to facilitate the relevant payment. We may send other Personal Information such as your name, correspondence address and contact details if the third party service provider requests such information from us to improve the payment process. We may also collect details of your bank account (including, but not limited to, account holder, account name, account number).
When you download, access and use this App, we may use technology to automatically collect:-

Device and Connection Information

We collect device location information if you use our location features, such as when you choose to share your location with your contacts, view locations nearby or those others have shared with you.

metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your device which this App may access for such metadata and information.
Your online and status message changes on our App, such as whether you are “online” and when you last used our App (“last seen”), and when you last updated your status message.
We treat all of your information/Personal Data with the utmost care for your privacy and security. However, for purposes of providing our services to you, we may store your information/Personal Data on servers of third parties or disclose your information/Personal Data to third party providers who provide products or services to you or us (e.g., our credit card processing company or the third party vendors accessible through this App). These third parties are not permitted to use your information/Personal Data for any purpose unrelated to such as providing their products or services to you or us without your express consent (whether orally or in writing).

to improve our internal customer training;
to comply with financial services regulations, including, retention of financial information and transactions;
for financial and identity checks, fraud prevention and detection checks, anti-money laundering and credit checks;
for customer service, including, answering questions and responding to feedback and complaints;
to enhance the security of our services;
to ensure that the contents in this App are presented in the most effective manner for you and for your mobile;
for research, statistical, analysis and behavioural analysis;
to notify you when this App updates are available and of changes to any products or services we offer or provide through it; and
to contact you via emails for newsletters or other marketing/promotional materials.
The usage information/Personal Data we collect helps us to improve this App and to deliver a better and more personalized experience by enabling us to:-

store information about your preferences, allowing us to customise this App according to your individual interests;

access to your e-wallet account with us is controlled by a password and username that are unique to you;
we store your information/Personal Data on secure servers; and
we automatically encrypt your confidential information in transit from your mobile to ours using the protocol.
We will use all reasonable efforts to safeguard your information/Personal Data. However, you should be aware that the use of the Internet or this App is not entirely secure and for this reason we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any information/Personal Data which is transferred from you or to you via the Internet or this App. Further, the high level of protection we provide can only be effective if you follow certain security practices yourself. You must never share any of your accounts, including, the e-wallet account or login details with anyone. If you are concerned that any of your login details have been compromised, you can change them any time once you are logged on but you should always also immediately contact us or our customer services and tell us why you think your login details have been compromised. We are by law required to retain certain records for a period of at least seven (7) years after closure of your e-wallet account with us which will include your information/Personal Data such as your name, contact details, customer number and transaction history, etc.
We may disclose aggregated information/Personal Data about you and our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction. In addition, we may disclose your information/Personal Data that we collect or you provide:-
to our associated companies which means our subsidiaries, any subsidiaries of our shareholders and affiliates;
to any companies which provide outsourced services to us;
to contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep information/Personal Data confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them;
to third parties that market their products or services to you if you have consented to these disclosures;

Disclosure of your information/Personal Data may be necessary in order to, among other things, fulfill your request, process your payment details, provide support services and monitor fraudulent activities.
When using the money or funds in your e-wallet account with us to pay to a person or company whom you wish to purchase goods, services and others, we will pass on certain details to the recipient. Depending on the requirements of that other person and the type of payment involved, we may send other personal details such as your name, address and country of residence if the recipients request this information/Personal Data from us in order to improve the payment process, to reconcile payments with the commercial transaction or to conduct their own anti-fraud and anti-money laundering checks.
When you open an e-wallet account with us, at intervals of up to every three (3) months and at any other time we feel it is necessary to do so to protect our financial interests and prevent money-laundering or fraud, we share certain information/Personal Data about you and your e-wallet account with us, financial history and transactions as part of our normal business operations with our banks, payment facilitator partners, credit/debit card processing services, identity verification service providers and credit reference agencies (including, but not limited to, identity and verify users, to limit our exposure to fraud and other criminal activities and to manage our financial risk. When conducting identification or fraud prevention checks, the relevant parties may retain a record of our query along with your information/Personal Data and may share this information/Personal Data with other fraud prevention agencies. If you want to know what information/Personal Data these companies hold about you, you can write to them to request access to your information/Personal Data.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide.
We may monitor and record communications with you (such as telephone conversations, and sending messages through emails, SMS, WhatsApp, this App and etc.) for the purpose of quality assurance, training, fraud prevention and compliance.
We may contact you via email to the primary email address you have provided to us or by telephone to the contact telephone number you have provided to us when downloading this App and registering for your e-wallet account with us or message through this App. You can change your primary email address and/or contact telephone number at any time.
You may also receive system-generated transactional emails or messages from this App such as confirmation of uploads, notification of receipt of payments, notification of password changes, etc. which are necessary for the proper operation and administration of your e-wallet account with us.
Phishing is the name given to attempts to steal personal details and financial account details from a website user or from this App. “Phishers” use fake or “spoof” emails or messages through this App to lead users to counterfeit websites or this App where the user is tricked into entering their personal details, such as credit card numbers, user names and passwords. WE WILL NEVER SEND EMAILS OR MESSASGES THROUGH SMS, WHATSAPP, WECHAT AND/OR THIS APP ASKING YOU FOR SUCH DETAILS AND OUR STAFF WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR PASSWORD. If you do receive such emails and/or messages requesting for your password by anyone claiming to work for us please forward the email or report the incident by email to our Data Protection Office at our email address specified below or by contacting our Customer Service.
We may request shipping details from you such as recipient’s name, contact number, correspondence address and etc for us to deliver redeem products using URewards. Your parcels will be delivered using our selected shipping partner. Please note that all addresses are unable to make any adjustment once already in processing.
